If you like thick socks, these are sure to satisfy. We are pleased that the socks came in as thick and soft as we expected. The women's size 9-11 fit is as expected. They compare to the same size and measurements (see pictures) of our existing double-thick socks that fit well. We prefer socks in the larger end of the women's range for roominess and comfort. Dainty little feet may find them too big. The quality of the socks looks good. They are sewn well around the toe. The elastic cuffs are a nice touch to help hold them up. The outside looks like typical knit socks, but the inside is soft and fluffy sheepskin. The non-slip grippers are nice, too, so you can wear them without slippers. The pattern and the colors are great. The socks infer winter holidays without resorting to the stereotypical holiday imagery and novelty characters. We saw two color sets offered. Both are nice, whether you like bold or subtle colors. We chose the lighter gray pattern paired with a beige and brown checkerboard because they're more neutral colors that can go with anything. The fact that you get two pairs for the price is a fantastic deal. That's more for yourself or a pair to share. These kind of thick socks also make a good gift idea for the hard-to-buy-for. Too bad that they come in a plain baggie and not a decorative holiday gift box, but once you wrap them up, they'd present well as a gift. Unless you live in a hot climate, most people can appreciate thick, comfy slipper socks. Don't be fooled by the fire in the product images, though. Fire usually represents heated goods, like battery-operated self-heating socks or something. These are normal, albeit fluffy, socks. No wires or contraptions. You could say that they're self-heating, though. You heat them yourself! LOL! Fire also infers that your feet would be too hot in these things. From past experience, these double-thick socks are cozy and warm without being too constricting. One more thing, it's too warm yet to wear and wash, so we can't speak for durability.
