My daughter recently started wearing shorts like this that kind of look like a little bit of a floaty skirt, but then they have the spandex underneath that it's really shorts, and they work out perfect for school and someone like her who's young and doesn't want to be wearing a skirt as necessarily with all the playing that they do. The material is nice. It's like a shiny material a little bit in the black pair, more so than the light purple pair, but it's not cheaply shiny. The design of the flowers is cute and the black pair would match with a white or black shirt. My daughter is 49 pounds and 49 inches and I got her a size 6 and it fits well.
