Not thin. Fits and looks like advertised. Not a cheap looking pair of shorts. A waffle knit and better quality than I had expected. If I needed another pair I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair: I got them for around the house and campsite but now I wear them out to grocery shop and run errands.
