For reference my daughter is 5'5” normally an 8/10 jeans. We went with the large because she likes her comfy clothes little big. These fit exactly like she likes. So, yes they run true to size even though we intentionally didn't order her true size. LOL Anywho, the tie is really nice and works well. The pockets are great and deep enough to be functional. The black sweatpants will go with any color top. She's trying to talk me into ordering the gray sweatpants for her too. I think she will get her way in this because these are a great price. She and I both recommend! Oh! And she loves the cut!
