LEGO Icons Douglas DC-3 Pan Am Airliner Set #11378 – 1,903 Pieces, Retractable Landing Gear, Detailed Cabin Interior & 4 Historical Minifigures | Ages 18+ | Aviation Gift

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Outstanding display model that beautifully captures one of aviation's most iconic aircraft, with a rewarding build that uses clever techniques for the curved fuselage, wings and distinctive nose. The finished model looks fantastic in the classic Pan Am livery, and the printed pieces instead of stickers give it a premium feel, while the detailed cockpit passenger cabin, retractable landing gear and crew mini figures add authenticity without cluttering the elegant design.

Airline employee, aviation nerd, civil aviation history buff… loved this set! I will say there are two nitpicky details that could be corrected (a Pan am pilot would not have been allowed a goatee and the US flag on right side is reversed… flags on aircraft are always depicted as if they are being flown with the wind from the nose ). Other than that. Great fun and a great add to my collection
