Large Curved Wooden Elevated Turtle Cage with Removable Legs & Waste Tray, Escape-Proof Ventilated Mesh

The tortoise house was put together easily by my 12 year old. A previous reviewer stated a bad smell to the wood but that was not the case with the one sent to me. I only had a wood smell, almost cedar like. The tortoise is enjoying his new home so far. I do wish the ramp and top ledge were a little bigger though. Overall it is nice looking and sturdy and I think we will enjoy it for a long time.

This is obviously made cheaply and not with the safety of the animals in mind. It has an unbelievably strong chemical smell and is sticky straight out of the box. After scrubbing all of the pieces with Dawn dish detergent and leaving them outside in the sun and fresh air for two days, I'm still nervous about putting my bearded dragon in it. The description says nontoxic but I don't believe that. When I scrubbed it, a brown, yellow residue washed off. It took multiple washings for the water to run clear. I would not buy it again.
