Move over Bissell! I almost bought a Bissell because it was an American company. I did a little research and found out most of their products are made in China anyway. Bissell had some bad reviews for being cheaply made and parts breaking quickly. Shark had the same reviews as well. I saw this steam mop for half the price of name brands, made in Hong Kong, and zero reviews. I thought, why not? I am pleasantly suprised! The machine was easy to put together, great instructions, and looks nice. It has 3 levels of steam and the rotating heads can be turned off if needed. I have tile and wood floors. I cant express how suprised and shocked at how dirty my floors were. I like a clean house, but not a OCD about it. I have 3 indoor cats and an elderly dog who just lays around mostly. I mop every few days with a washable mop head and vaccum daily for the pet hair. Most rooms took 4 passes until the pads weren't a gross brown. I chose to wet the mop heads and rinse out in between cleanings in each room. That did make the floors wetter, but I turned on the ceiling fans and they were dry in no time. I think it helped remove more dirt, but may not be good for the wood long term so I wont do that next time. The machine heats up fast (about 30-45 seconds), never stopped, and never over heated. It did make a knocking noise when I first started it, but I quickly realized it was the pump trying to pull water for the first time. It stopped once it got water in it. I already feel like even if it breaks tomorrow, for $76ish I've got my moneys worth because I ran it for over 2 hours straight cleaning all flooring, and only turning it off to refill the water tank and wash the mop pads. It does drip a little water after removing the pads, but it uses steam and water so this doesnt bother me. I just wipe it up. I'm storing it on a little rubber mat so it can drip its heart out! If it breaks quickly or something changes I will update this review.
