How do you get the film off?!

It's very pretty, but the hardest part of this puzzle is getting the protective film off! I'm glad I bought it for myself to try before giving it to my granddaughter. I think it would be too frustrating for her. Like other reviewers I wish it had not come already put together. That means before I actually get to do the puzzle I will have to figure out how to get the film off and take the puzzle apart.
