(2 pack) Franklin Sports Pickleball Paddle - DEFY - Textured Fiberglass Surface - Polypropylene Core - DEFY - Official USA Pickleball (USAP) Approved

I am an intermediate level player. I bought this paddle for its textured surface thinking it would help me generate more spin. Also, $30 wasn't much of a risk. The paddle indeed generates more spin than my Selkirk. Though the handle is a bit small for me, the grip is surprisingly good. The paddle is thinner than most paddles on the market which, I think, means a bit less power - not an issue for me. It's also a smidge smaller than my Selkirk so I've added a couple perimeter weights to expand the sweet spot to good effect. Bottom line: it works well for me and is an absolute bargain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Franklin sports Defy Deluxe fiberglass pickleball racquet is the nicest racquet I've ever held. Since I first played the game, I've always had super cheap, basic equipment. This fiberglass deluxe racquet has a premium feel. It is very lightweight and gives me a fantastic swing. There are definitely more expensive racquets on the market.. and maybe I'll continue to climb the tiers to a more expensive model, but for now this feels great and makes me feel a bit more confident in my equipment. I should add that the navy blue with the yellow and light blue stripes is super attractive and unique. I'm hopeful that this will hold up to my rough handling going forward so I can get a lot of play time with it. I definitely recommend giving this racquet a try if you're in the market.
