The pxn v99 is a modern budget gear driven force feedback steering wheel, three pedal, and shifter package released in 2024 similar to other units like the logitech g920se but quieter in a modern direct drive like base with a 12 inch circular rubber bound steering wheel with a spread center button pattern and plastic adjustable pedals. The shifter is a six gear with reverse and two buttons labeled for extra gear shifts and parking brake. The wheel has a phone app that connects via bluetooth for adjusting feedback and mapping. note: When assembling the setup a couple of the rubber pads on the clamps came off in the bag so check the clamp square jaw for the corner pads and if missing check the bag the clamp was in and the clamp itself as the pads could be stuck to it. They come off easily and place in their proper places sticky side down. Once you tighten the clamps down the pressure will keep them in place. I seen it twice in a row so far. Shipping must be rough. I used this wheel on xbox x running forza horizon 5 and 6 open map racing games. I had to hook an extra controller to the wheel so the xbox could see it but once hooked up usage was flawless from the press of the home button(Xbox button on remote) to start the xbox up to starting forza to play using the buttons in the middle of the wheel. Under forza the joystick buttons don't work so your down two buttons for control options but that's a forza problem not the wheel. The steering wheel has four paddles with the two bottom ones hardwired to be equivalent to triggers on the xbox remote for braking and acceleration. The upper ones are for shifting. The pedals are hal effect with varying spring tension per pedal (brake is the strongest). The tension is weak but good and comfortable for bare feet racing. The shifter has good guiding between shifts and a press down reverse on sixth gear. Wheel use itself was grainier and feedback was stiffer and slightly less responsive but otherwise comfortable to use as you had push harder to do anything kind of like a gear box with little grease. The large round steering wheel made normal driving seem normal with finer control turns and not toy-like hard turns. Racing was definitely more difficult fighting real gears with the bigger steering wheel increasing the leverage of the gears often leading to high speed crashes. This forced me to take it a little easier in the races, those xbox remotes let you get away with crazy driving. The clutch shift movements definitely felt normal like driving on my old YJ jeep. This v99 with a normal life like sized steering wheel made driving as comfortable and immersive as could be below a direct driving system. In some ways the v99 gear driven feedback had more kick than the v10 pro direct drive feedback did.
