Piscifun Viper X Spinning Reel 2000, Saltwater Spinning Fishing Reel, Open Face Fishing Reel, 10+1BB, 6.2:1 Gear Ratio, 22LB Drag, Foldable Handle

Beautiful bass real, fits perfectly in your hand, Viper X 2000, great for young use. has fast retrieval for spinner baits and top water lures. gas alot of power for such a smaller reel. so impressed with this reel, I highly recommend this product.

There was a time when you just about couldn't make me buy a spinning reel other than Pflueger. I fished them exclusively for over 20 years. Now, I don't remember how I came across my first Piscifun spinning reel. I think I was just using it because a buddy had it handy. Anyway, ever since then I have been moving away from Pflueger and toward Piscifun. I have found them to be every bit as high quality, and for a better price. To me, they are the best value out there. This particular reel is a 2000 Viper X series. And it is so versatile. Even though I have not fished it yet, I know that to be true because I already had another one just like it. And I liked it so well that I got this one. And I do have this one spooled up with bright green braid that matches the green of the reel exactly (had it on hand), and it makes a really nice looking rig. This particular reel model is useable in both fresh and saltwater. And I have used it in both. I didn't do much good in the saltwater, but the reel did fine. And I have caught bass over 5 lbs with it, and catfish of a similar size. The drag is amazing, and is more than I will ever need, and maybe even overkill on a 2000 series reel. But you don't have to worry about having enough drag. The reel is not heavy, but has a nice hefty feel. The bail and handle are very smooth, and the handle can be mounted to serve either left or right handers. I wanted to post a video of it spinning freely, because it impressed me. But videos are not supported in these reviews. So I just posted a pic with it spooled up. It is just a great, and great looking, solid and tight feeling reel that can be used in fresh or salt. And it does so without breaking the bank. This won't be my last piece of Pisciform equipment.
