I don't recommend this for children over 60 pounfs

The add states that this is for children 3-18 I have an 8 y/0 and a 10 y/o, so I thought we'd see what this little guy could do. But first… There's some assembly, not a lot and the tools you will need come in the package. It took me about 30 mins, and I'm not a very handy person :) I feel like the directions could be a little more clear, but if you slow down and don't rush yourself it's pretty easy. The only thing we haven't been able to figure out is how to remotely control the cat with our phones and how to Bluetooth music. The car only came with the assembly instructions, and I really think we must be missing some paperwork. For reference my daughter is 8 y/o she weighs 52 pounds and is about 4'7”. My son is 10 y/o he weighs about 90 pounds and he's 5'2. It does great coming back up the hills with my daughter but my son was too heavy. It also went through a gravel patch with my daughter, but my son was too heavy. My daughter is riding it while I write this review and just said “mom, I'm really surprised this thing is still going”, so I feel like playtime is very good! So far she's ridden the car longer than we've had to charge it. Charging is simple, there's a hole in the area on the back of the seat, my daughter does it herself. It does okay on an incline but I think it would zap the battery, a flat area is def better for the battery. My daughter rides it in my house, it does great on my hardwood floors and although the area rugs slow it down a bit, they're no match for it. :) If your little is heavier than 60 pounds I would suggest passing on this option. At 65-75 pounds it would probably pull your child, but it would drain the battery. Also, the seatbelt is not just a recommendation!!! When the car drifts they are pulled sideways (think of the scrambler at the fair), so def make sure they're buckled.
