Close the lid, you can add water anytime

About this item

Product details

This set contains 8 small‑capacity terracotta ollas measuring 3.1×3.1×6.3 inches with a 14oz water volume, delivering stable and reliable self‑irrigation for your indoor and outdoor plants. Before first use, soak these porous terracotta ollas in clean water for more than 8 hours to better control the water flow and enhance overall durability. Installation is simple and straightforward: dig a hole and bury the olla in the soil up to the bottleneck, only leaving the top filling opening exposed above ground, then fill the vessel with water and cover it tightly with the sealed lid for stable slow seepage. You can refill water at any time for convenient daily use. Perfect for busy workers and frequent travelers, these self‑watering inserts can continuously hydrate your plants for over 1 weeks, and the matching lid effectively blocks soil and dirt from getting inside. Boasting a low‑profile natural clay design, the watering ollas can be mostly buried in planting soil and blend seamlessly with indoor and outdoor garden scenes without looking obtrusive. They are universal for all kinds of plants, flowers, vegetables, fruits and garden trees, effectively preventing dehydration and keeping soil moisture balanced all year round. Lightweight, sturdy and long‑lasting, these clay irrigation pots are easy to install and require no extra maintenance. They steadily deliver gentle water near plant roots and create a reliable automatic irrigation system for your potted plants and garden.

Ollas watering globes

Very well made! Anxious to put them to good use this spring! I read about ollas and thought the concept was promising. Glad I found these and counting on them to work well in our garden in the coming years.

KEEP EM COOL

RECEIVED IN 2 DAYS AND PACKED VERY CAREFULLY INSIDE A SPECIAL STYROFOAM SHIPPING INSERT AND THEN INSIDE A BOX INSIDE A 2ND BOX WHICH IS APPRECIATED AS OLLAS CAN BE DELICATE. THIS IS PERFECT TIMING I AM GETTING MY WINTER GARDEN IN NOW AND I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO INSTITUTE THE OLLA SYSTEM IN MY GARDEN FOR REAL, I HAVE BEEN EXPERIMENTING WITH A CLAY POT VERSION FOR A YEAR NOW AND IT WORKS PRETTY WELL, THE DRAW BACKS ARE THE TOPS OF CLAY POTS ARE TOO WIDE AND ALLOW FOR EVAPORATION AND THE SAUCER NEEDS TO BE RIGHT SIDE UP TO KEEP IT FROM SLIDING OFF BUT THEN YOU HAVE STANDING WATER IN THE SAUCER FOR MOSQUITOS TO BREED. SO THESE ARE A PERFECT SOLUTION... SMALL TOPS AND NO STANDING WATER, THEY HELP TO KEEP THE SOIL COOL AS WELL AS MOIST, JUST THE TICKET FOR OUR HOT DRY CLIMATE AND HAVING 8 OF THEM TO SPREAD OUT THROUGH THE GARDEN IS PERFECT AND FOR A NICE PRICE.
