Does exactly like Is supposed to. Poured like a cup of water on it and it didn't soak through. Definitely isn't something you'd want to lay on top of alone. Sounds crunchy and not very comfortable, feels almost like cardboard or paper and my husband was hesitant. But big surprise once it was on the bed and we laid down our sheets he had no complaints. Even better if our toddler crawls into bed or spills anything it won't stain or wet the mattress. cool points from me everywhere. Fits our 18in mattress nice and snug, doesn't slide around and even better We can take it off and on to wash it once a week when we do bedding

This is a nice soft mattress protector. It fits a twin mattress perfectly. It is easy to wash if it gets dirty. It's decently thick, but I have had ones that are thicker in the past. I like that it is noiseless, you don't even notice it under your sheets. Overall it's a good protector for the price.
