See this is a two and one thing it's not only a mattress protector. It's also a mattress pad that's why I think it's a value. Because if you just put a big plastic sheet under you, it's gonna get hot and it's gonna feel weird. This product has both the waterproof sheet and a nice soft pad. I think it's especially good if your bones get a little achy and if you live in a warm climate, we're just being on top of a mattress protector plastic would just be too hot.

Thin mattress protector

Good mattress protector. Seems to be well-made. No chemical smell. OEKO-TEX certified for using safer materials. This protector is very thin, which works for me because I wanted something that washes easily and dries quick unlike padded protectors that lose their shape after washing. But it can be easily used with another mattress pad over it if needed for comfort.

Great for pillowtop mattresses or bed toppers.

This mattress protector was needed to replace the one I had of unknown age and origin. Right out of the package, it unfolded easily without any smell! I slept on it last night without feeling uncomfortable or too hot. My husband even said he slept great, so whatever changes occurred from one mattress protector to another, was not noticeable. The most noticeable attribute is that the sides to cover the mattress are quite long. It doesn't effect how the cover looks or fits; it means that a thick mattress or mattress topper, or even a thick mattress with a mattress topper would still be able to use this. It's like deep pocket sheets x10. Definitely interested to see how this lasts over the years.
