Not for chopping

The handle is thin, tighten the head by driving it further onto the handle, seating a wooden wedge into the top kerf with wood glue, and adding metal wedges. The ax head is a little soft. These axes are more for throwing than chopping. I have to wrap the handle with grip tape.
