MEHOOM Bedside Shelf for Dorm Room, Clip-On Floating Nightstand with 2 Cable Holes, Bed Tray Table, Bunk Bedside Table with Storage, Black

This is the perfect little side table for attaching to a bed! Due to the location of the bed, we didn't have room for a traditional nightstand, so this was the ideal solution. It attaches securely to the bed and is perfect for my daughter to keep her laptop on instead of leaving it on the floor. I wouldn't recommend placing anything too heavy on it, but it works great for lighter items. I also love that it has a slit for the charging cord to pass through, which is a convenient feature. Overall, it's a great space-saving solution!

For context: I'm not a college student, but an older man. There is no room next to my bed for a table next to charge my phone and tablet at night. A table as narrow as this shelf is would be in the way and easily knocked over. I've been using an extension cord and long cables to charge my gadgets on the corner of my bed. More than once I knocked them onto the floor and had to move the bed to retrieve the cables or them. This shelf solvds all those problems . It was able it to clip onto the side rail of my bed frame nearest the door. It provides a stable place for my gadgets and retains the cables pretty well. . Because my bed has a box frame this is a few inches lower than it would be withour oine. It is not quite as convenient as if I were sleeping in a bunk bed, but it is off the floor and within easier reach. If the cables should fall through their slots I they will be where I can reach them . Finally it doesn't interfere with the bedding. I wish I'd found this soner.
