Time and Tru Women's Sleeveless Denim Dress with Ruffle Hem, XS-4X

This dress is like a hidden gem, I'm glad I found it. The fabric on the dark rinse color is mid-weight, not too heavy, and not light penetrable (so no slip required). The front empire waist is flatteringly curved and converts to gathered elastic at the back, which makes for a nice silhouette while still being comfortable. The length hits me at mid-calf (I'm 5' 7” tall in bare feet), it may hit lower on you if you're shorter. I like that the dress is versatile, you can wear it alone (the underarm openings are cut higher, so no bra exposure even on those with wider side bands), or wear a collared blouse or crew neck tee underneath, or even a cardigan on top of it when the weather is cooler. It can really be one of those dresses you wear year-round if the weather in your area permits it. It's a great dress, I'd buy it again.
