Great Product. Love my new Kamado. I have owned a Large Big Green Egg for years and decided to go with the Big Joe this time. because of the extras being included making the final cost of the product less than going with the Big green Egg. I really don't care for the firebox on the Big Joe compared to the Big Green Egg. You have to worry about knocking the metal ring off the petals and its a pain to put together but I will get used to it. The deflector plate system does work better than the plate setter on a Big Green Egg since it covers more area and you can use just one for 2 zone cooking compared to the plate setter on the Big Green Egg.

Consistent and adaptable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an offset smoker for 15 years and when it rusted through the firebox, I made the move to the Big Joe. I'm amazed at the consistency of temperature due to the insulation and shape of it. So far I have cooked steaks and chicken hot over coals, reverse seared steaks and burgers using grate and cast iron griddle, double-indirect hot smoked St. Louis ribs, pork shoulder, and brisket. Everything has come out better than my offset. I'm excited to have a do-it-all grill for many years to come.

What a blast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this grill/smoker as a gift for Father's Day and I am having so much fun learning how to smoke and BBQ meats! I have made delicious beef ribs and pork butt and today I will be making wings for the family. What a great product the Komodo Joe is and I look forward to my next goal - mastering the beef brisket!!
