We have a very similar GE freezer bought a few years ago (at our local Wal-Mart store) and needed a second so didn't hesitate at all to grab this GE. The only way it varies is that it doesn't have the removable 'wall' above the motor so it is just an open space inside with 2 baskets included. It did arrive with a small dent on the back but it wasn't in an area where it would damage anything needed to run it so we didn't worry about it- we just want it to freeze our food not win a beauty contest. This is not a full size freezer but neither is it really a mini freezer- we have had the full size chest and standing freezers and I didn't want them so this is perfect for just the 3 of us left at home. The only reason we needed another is so that we could purchase 1/2 a cow, for normal day to day use the size is great. These are also easy to clean out: just empty, turn off, unplug and the next day drain and wipe out with a soft cloth dampened with a mixture of baking soda and warm water. Based on the first model we already had we expect this one to last for years with no trouble.

These small freezers that walmart sells, are for the most part, an extremely good buy. Many years ago I bought a little Danby brand freezer about this size and it lasted seemingly forever. I guess I had it ten years and when I moved to another home, I sold it along with other furnishings. I then bought this freezer or one exactly to it, in person at walmart about eleven years ago...and I kept it in my garage year round....my house was destroyed by fire about 4 years ago and i want you to know, that this little freezer kept on kicking. I now have it in my shop. I can't say anything bad about these freezers that I have purchased from walmart. Very slowly over the course of many months, some frost will build up at the top area around where the baskets hang. All I do is chip that off or unplug the freezer as it's a good time to clean out the freezer every so often. There has never been any rust, never any leaks, altho it does have a drainage plug at the bottom. For two people or a small family, it holds sufficient amount. I have had several buckets of ice cream in it, large turkey, large ham, 8 pizzas, fish, lots of frozen vegis, and gobs of other stuff in there all at the same time. Of course, I suppose a person could get one that does not last long but I can only relay how great they've been for me.
