I am a heavy sweat sleeper, so finding blankets that actually work is usually a challenge in itself. Most comforters trap the heat, and I always end up waking up soaking wet. This cooling blanket is a great find. My room gets over 80 degrees sometimes, but this thing cools me off in less than a minute. The fabric feels super soft the second you unpack it, and it is very lightweight. The double-sided material pulls heat away from your body right away. The air flows through it, instead of cooking you underneath. Keep in mind that once it absorbs your body heat, it starts to warms up a bit, so you have to shift the blanket to find another cold spot. The silky material is also pretty slippery and can slide off the bed if you toss and turn. But I love the silky feeling on my skin. Laundry can be a bit taxing; it has to be washed with cold and must air dry it to avoid ruining the fabric. I can deal with the few cons because this blanket keeps you dry, cool, and comfortable while sleeping or just lounging.
