I have a 45-year-old house with the rubber threshold insert worn off. I looked everywhere to find a replacement match. We had gaps where the air would leak in that I wanted to eliminate with the new insert. This one looked like it would slide into the threshold channel. Sadly, it was not a size match. However, I unscrewed the metal threshold frame and put it underneath it. It raised the threshold just the right height to close the gaps under the door and still open smoothly. So, this winter we won.t be getting a bad draft. No more putting a blanket in front of the door bottom.
