GET THE FASHION FACTS:

What is Scubaknit Fabric? Scubaknit is a double-knit fabric made from finely spun fibers that is smooth, slick and springy. The low-profile foam core gives Scubaknit a structured drape that’s ultra comfortable and flattering.

Why is it called Scubaknit? While the name, Scubaknit is a direct reference to SCUBA gear, it is purely a fashionable imitation. Designed to offer the striking, structured silhouette you might associate with a wet suit, but lightweight and meant for everyday street style, Scubaknit is squishy and padded without actually using any rubber.

How do you style Scubaknit without looking bulky? Because Scubaknit is dense with a naturally springy structure, it inherently creates volume. Walmart recommends styling with balance: if you are wearing a structured Scubaknit top, pair it with more fluid, slim-fitting bottoms. You can also lean into the sculptural look of Scubaknit by choosing garments that use its stiffness intentionally, such as skater skirts, dramatic sleeve tops or dresses with simple lines.
