The blanket came packaged well and was vacuum sealed in plastic. Once opened, it expanded to true size very quickly - it wasn't compressed so much like memory foam would be. The colors are just like the pictures in the website description and represent the cool feeling very well. I've never owned a "cooling blanket" so I wasn't quite sure what to expect or how it would feel and perform. My first reaction when feeling the material was "wow... this is super soft and chilly". The material is very soft and smooth - it reminds me of satin - and it feels several degrees cooler than the room temperature. I also like that it has weight to it - so it feels as soft as the softest sheets but then has the weight of a good blanket or even a light comforter. There's a nice piping sewn around the edge very well - no loose threads or sloppy stitches. And then the cooling effect for sleeping - wow... it makes my body feel several degrees cooler than the room, and even more so with the ceiling fan on. It was too cool to use all night, but I can tell it will be excellent this summer - when the temperatures where I live are regularly into the 90's and 100's F. The value for the price is completely satisfactory - Sleep cooler, sleep better!

I love cooling blankets. I can not sleep without a sheet or blanket even in the summer. This reminds me of the cool blankets my grandmama used in the summer. It came vacuum packed. I tossed it in the dryer on no heat to bring it to life.
