To be honest, I did not read all of the description. It is meant to be temporary and the fabric is similar to a cheap thin tarp. I'm using it for privacy and shade on the side porch of my house. It's been up for several weeks and has held up well to strong winds and sun in Northwest Florida. I love the bright green color. I would not buy it again for a permanent shade solution but it would be great for camping and parties! I'm giving it a 5 star rating for that reason and also the reasonable price.

Perfect for my Need

The shade tree next to my pond died so I needed something to provide shade to improve the water quality. The Coolaroo works perfectly. I knew when I ordered that I might need brackets as it only comes with tie ropes but ended up not using them. Tied one point to the dead tree and the other two onto my deck railings. I installed this myself. Loosely tied two cords to the deck railing and tied one rope to a small hammer and threw it over the tree branch of the dead tree (no ladder required) then went back and forth retying until it was in the perfect position. Product is well made and has already gone through a thunderstorm and high winds without a problem. Ordered online and received it in 4 days! Definitely would recommend this.
