Gearvibe RC Drift Car JDM 1:24 Scale LED Lights Drift Tire Kit USB Rechargeable Battery

So I picked this up just to have something to mess around with while I’m taking a break from CS projects or in between Uber Eats shifts. It’s a cool-looking JDM style van, but one weird thing right off the bat is that the online listing said it was 1:24 scale, but the box I got says 1:18. It’s not a huge deal since I'm just using it indoors, but it just shows the marketing is a little bit all over the place. The build is definitely that lightweight plastic feel—it’s not super premium or heavy, but it’s held up so far driving it around the house. It comes with two sets of tires, and I swapped to the drift ones right away. It actually slides around on hardwood floors pretty well, and they even threw in some tiny orange cones to make a little course, though they’re so light they fly everywhere if you even graze them with the bumper. The battery situation is a bit of a hassle because you have to unscrew the compartment every time you want to charge it, and the included screwdriver is kind of a joke, so I just used my own precision kit to get it open. It’s USB rechargeable though, which is a big plus for me since I hate wasting money on AA batteries. The LED lights actually look pretty decent when it’s zipping around. It’s not going to win any professional RC races, but for a cheap way to kill ten minutes between studying, it’s a buy. It’s just a fun, simple toy that gets the job done without costing a fortune.
