Extrordinary picture quality. Absolutely stunning!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Long story short: I upgraded from my 5-year-old $600 LED 4K TV, and man, I'm absolutely stunned with this TV! First thing that shocked me was how bright this TV is. I placed it in my living room with windows in the back, and I have no problem watching movies during day time. And during the nights I would even need to adjust the brightness to 60% as it is really THAT BRIGHT. The color and the contrast are superior as well, feeling like everything pops out. Another thing that you will feel right away is how good the speakers are. Before I always thought if you want good "stereo like" sound when watching movies on your TV, you will need to buy a whole set of speakers. But man for the first time I got to feel the bass coming out of the TV. Just blew my mind. But still I'd love to try the soundbar with this TV if I get the space to place them; definitely will be a whole step up too. Anyways, super satisfied with the upgrade. Not a cheap TV for sure, but definitely worth the investment. And given pervious experiences, TCL always have great deals during NFL Kickoff. So make sure to stay tuned.

High expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Should a tv at this price level be 120 hz in all modes? TCL states a refresh rate of 144hz, but that's only available in game mode. I've had mine for a week now and there are too many motion issues in my mind for a tv with expectations as high as this tv. Any movement is blurred. My 75Q750 seemed better. Am I missing something.

Please note that 144Hz performance requires compatible content and devices, such as supported gaming consoles or PCs, while most movies, streaming apps, and broadcast content are typically delivered at lower frame rates such as 24Hz, 30Hz, or 60Hz. In some cases, perceived motion blur may also be related to picture or motion settings rather than the refresh rate itself. If motion blur is the main concern during regular viewing, there are settings built into the TV specifically designed to adjust this to your personal taste: 1. Press the Settings (Gear) button on your remote and go to Picture. 2. Switch your Picture Mode to Standard or Movie (make sure it isn't left in Game Mode for regular TV). 3. Go to Advanced Settings, then Motion and turn on Motion Clarity. 4. Try adjusting the Blur Reduction and Judder Reduction sliders up to a midpoint (around 4 to 6) to smooth out fast-panning shots and sports.
