GET THE FASHION FACTS:

What is an A-Line Skirt? An A-Line Skirt is a type of skirt that is fitted around the waist, and gradually flares out in a shape that resembles the capital letter A. The silhouette widens from the waist or hips downward, creating a gentle, structured, yet flowy skirt.

How does an A-Line Skirt fit? The magic of the A-line is in its geometric precision. It creates a focal point at the narrowest part of the torso and then builds volume where the body naturally curves. From the waist down, the fabric skims the hips and thighs to help make the waist appear smaller by comparison.

Why is the A-Line Skirt so iconic? Walmart recommends A-line silhouettes because they strike a balance between modesty and shape. Whether it’s a structured denim mini-skirt or a flowing silk midi skirt, the A-line remains the most reliable go-to for everything from office wear to weekend fun.

This is a well made skirt. It fits true to size, except on me in the waist area. In Time and Tru I am an XS but in this I needed a S. The waist is definitely quite snug on me (I have a mom belly and a short torso and would wear this with untucked tops, to hide the waist area and also to camouflage my short waistedness) so size up if you're thicker or just built more squarely through your midsection. There is a side zipper for the waist closure. The skirt has no pockets. The material is thin (but not see through), it's more of a summer weight fabric than a winter weight one.

Pretty!

This runs true to size. There's no stretch in the waist, so you probably don't want to size down. It's a beautiful brown color, and it hangs nicely. I did have to put in the dryer for a few minutes to get the wrinkles out.

Fits so well!! Flattering! There is a zip and hook and eye closure on the side for a fitted look. Also the tie string makes it more adjustable.
