I just got the product last week, so I haven't had an opportunity to use it. it appears to be a quality product. The compressor comes on. I bought a few different jump starters last month. The thing I like the most about this one is that the amp rating is on the unit. The others don't have the amp rating on the unit, on the box, or in the owner's manual.
