It's built tough, no assembly needed, durable paint job, (I ordered Red) because in my experience, red attracts the feathery friends. You only need a place and way to hang it. A pole, sundeck, over hang or dormmer or etc. Put mine up two days ago on a flower pot Sheppard hooked metal garden pole, and they immediately were attracted to it, eating away. It's again, exactly what I wanted and Walmart has it. Top lifts easily for filling, it's super sturdy, beautiful to look at, and above all it works perfectly and they love it. It has two tiers or you can use one tier. It comes with a perfect size steel rod that can be inserted through the frame to keep it from fully opening or you can not use it and it will double in height. Simple, beautifully designed, strong, durable and like I said our birds love it. The bottom plate and foot holds are made to eleminate squirrels/cats from access. The domed top over hangs for less rain water to penetrate into the seed chamber. (even though it will drain out quickly). Also has 6 foot rests for comfort while they're feeding.
