About this item

Product details

The Pen+Gear Laser Pointer is a red presentation pointer for directing attention to information on presentation screens, charts, and other displays. Its 650 nm wavelength helps you point out details from a distance, making it a practical choice for classrooms, meetings, and presentations. An adjustable light spot lets you change the size of the spot to suit the task at hand, so you can tailor it to the display or detail you're highlighting. Simple push-button operation keeps it easy to use, and a built-in pocket clip keeps it close at hand between presentations.

Does the job, but the “adjustable light size” is misleading

Definitely does its intended job. The laser is bright and can reach a long distance. The only downside is that it's not very easy to adjust the spotlight size if you wanted to do so quickly. You have to open the cap and turn the gold portion with a flathead screwdriver to make the dot bigger or smaller. Also, be very careful if you do because if the gold portion comes all the way out, then the tiny glass lens will likely fall out as well. It happened a few times while I was trying to figure out how exactly to adjust the light. However, I don't think it's really necessary to change the size anyway.
