Veidoo 6 Inch E-Book Reader with Large E-Ink Screen, 32GB ROM, 758 x 1024, 212PPI, Adjustable SMARTlight, Android E-reader, Built-in Speaker, WiFi E-Ink Tablet with Cover(Black)

I have an original Kindle Paperwhite from 2012 that Amazon discontinued support for. You had to basically jailbreak it to use your own ebook files. That thing has 256MB of RAM and 2GB of storage. This has 2GB of RAM which is 8 times more. And 32GB storage which is 16 times more. In 2026 this isn't much but if you want to read ebooks and that's all it's enough. Especially if you are bringing your own EPUB files from wherever you got them it is great honestly. You don't need anything else. This has WiFi and Bluetooth but I will probably never even use them. Bluetooth and more storage is good if you want to use some audiobooks. I don't love generic versions of Android etc. I just want to have eInk and to be able to read books. This lets you easily just connect to a PC with a cord and drop files onto it. There were various folders which I didn't love but I just dropped them into where it said books and first time I opened them from files on the device they added to the bookshelf. Everything works about as expected as coming from first gen Paperwhite. The build quality actually seems a little less nice than the Paperwhite as I did like the thick feeling plastic that held up to a lot of abuse and scratches and stayed usable. The saving grace of this is that it comes with the case. And in the case it feels much nicer than Paperwhite and won't get scratched up anyway. It's nice that when you close the case it automatically turns the screen off to the off screen image which by default is nice and just a ship that says press button to turn on. When you open the case it automatically turns back on to where you were at. It's snappy enough even with low specs that you can barely even notice it's turning the screen off and on automatically. The screen quality is basically the same but this refreshes quicker than the old Paperwhite display. It also gets pretty bright with brightness turned up. I prefer it off for easy on the eyes. Also, turning off Wifi, Bluetooth, and brightness will save you lots of battery. Considering other albeit more performant ereaders are twice the amount of money this isn't bad for the price. If all you want is to simply read your own epub files on a nice little eInk display then this is a valid entry option to make that happen. I don't see an issue with it. It charges with USB C which is something I wanted when upgrading from my old Paperwhite as that was micro still. This comes with the power brick USB A to C cord and A to C adapter. Not a bad device really just keep your expectations in check for the price. It's not laggy and it's faster than the Paperwhite but that isn't saying much if you are expecting anything high speed. It's just a fine little basic ebook reader. I'm not mad at it.

The Veidoo E-Book Reader has a clean, minimalist design that's lightweight and comfortable to hold for extended reading sessions. The e-ink style display is easy on the eyes and provides a paper-like reading experience, making it a great option for book lovers who want fewer distractions than a tablet. The interface is straightforward, and page turns are responsive once you're familiar with the controls. Its compact size also makes it easy to slip into a handbag, backpack, or carry-on. A few menus require a little patience to navigate initially, but once set up, it delivers a pleasant reading experience. What I liked * ✔ Lightweight and portable * ✔ Comfortable paper-like display * ✔ Long-lasting battery * ✔ Great for travel and everyday reading * ✔ Simple, distraction-free experience Worth noting * Setup has a slight learning curve. * Performance is best for reading rather than multitasking. Overall If you're looking for an affordable e-reader dedicated to books—not apps or social media—this is a solid choice that offers good value for the price.
