Effectively prevents rodent infestation!
This feeder works well, is waterproof, and has a large capacity, so I don't need to refill it every day. We bought these feeders because we have a severe rat problem at home. I never leave any food in the coop, not even treats. All the chicken feed is kept outside so the rats won't try to chew their way into the coop. However, our rat problem is very severe, and we have had to modify parts of the coop and yard to prevent rat intrusion more effectively. These feeders are a very important part of our rat prevention measures. It has effectively prevented the rat infestation.
An excellent chicken feeder.
An excellent chicken feeder. Our chickens had previously rejected other similar feeders (such as hanging bucket feeders and feeders with round holes for chickens to peck out food), but after installing this trough-style feeder, they used it without hesitation within minutes! It's perfect for our needs.
I recommend that my neighbors buy one too.
This is the first time I've seen a feed box with wheels on the bottom; it keeps it well off the ground, safe from dampness and rain. I'm glad I bought it and plan to recommend it to my neighbors.
