Price and Quality the only other 2 non clumping clay cat litters are Fresh Step non clay Fabreze and Cats Pride non clumping definitely as good as cats pride but just short of Fresh Step..I tried Tidy cat non clumping clay and it is very fine and dust it doesn't last i give that a 1 and a half ..Thanks.Steve..

This is NOT a clumping litter! I prefer non clumping for multiple cats (more than 2). Clumping will just waste the litter or use it up too quickly. This is great for the price. I haven't ever used a litter that was "less tracking" more than another unless you are using pellets. Dust comes with the territory. Non clumping litter will not have low dust so if that is something worth dealing with for quantity you're good. Now I would not recommend this product for use at a Cattery because it's not so great for eliminating smell. However, if paired with fresh step which does clump or with a deodorant spray for cat litter it becomes a steal. The low price of this product leaves enough spare change in the wallet to splurge on some non-essentials. Fresh Step litter will probably be the only one for eliminating smell completely but if you jsut don't want to pay that much like myself this litter paired with the litter spray by fresh step instead will help tremendously. Also, since I don't like clumping the spray added to this product gives me the best of both worlds.
