ATTACK SHARK R68 HE 60% Wired RGB Gaming Keyboard, Hall Effect Magnetic Switches, 8000Hz Polling Rate, Rapid Trigger, PC/Mac Compatible, Ink

This Attack Shark keyboard is most definitely a gaming keyboard - that is to say it is a keyboard designed with gamers in mind. The look and feel of the keyboard is industrial yet beautiful, and the multicolored LED light show beneath the keys (customizable to your liking with an application available on the manufacturer’s website) is a very pleasant distraction. Functionally, I like this keyboard on several fronts. Primarily, it is a very “clicky” keyboard, and I dearly love clicky keyboards. Secondly, the height and angle of the keyboard, while not adjustable, is actually at just the height I prefer, so it’s a win on that front. Next, the keyboard labels (and by this I mean the little letters, numbers and symbols that show you what key you’re pressing) are on the front-facing side of each key instead of on the top of each key where they would essentially be covered up by your fingers. This is a stroke of genius in my opinion. Also, gamers are HARD on keyboards, and the W A S %26 D keys along with several other keys can really get pounded hard during a gaming session. Not only does this keyboard feel well-equipped to handle the rigors of game computing, it also comes with a key-cap pulling tool and not one but TWO extra key-spring repair keys. In over 40 years of working with computers and peripherals, I have NEVER seen a company that was this considerate about reducing down time for their users! Finally, the keyboard lets you reassign key functions as needed for a particular game, and you can the reset the whole keyboard back to factory defaults with a simple chord held down for half a minute. Another really considerate feature. It also works well with Windows, Mac and even Linux (I checked all three). This keyboard gets my highest recommendation of five wonderful stars (and in all honesty, if I could give it TEN stars, I would most certainly do so). It is a bright gemstone in the dank, dusty mine where computer peripherals are found (and if you’re looking for a gift, the gamer in your life is sure to LOVE this keyboard). Now go — stop reading and order this keyboard. You won’t be sorry!

I bought this keyboard specifically for the Rapid Trigger feature, and it does not disappoint. If you play games like Valorant or CS2, the Hall Effect magnetic switches are a total game-changer for counter-strafing. The 8KHz polling rate makes everything feel instantaneous. For a 60% board, the build quality is surprisingly solid and doesn't slide around my desk. The RGB is bright and looks great in a dark room. My only minor gripe is that the software can be a bit tricky to set up at first, but once it’s configured, the performance is top-tier. Definitely the best budget-friendly HE keyboard I’ve used.
