ATTACK SHARK R68 HE 60% Wired RGB Gaming Keyboard, Hall Effect Magnetic Switches, 8000Hz Polling Rate, Rapid Trigger, PC/Mac Compatible, Ink

This is a pretty interesting keyboard. The switches are white switches of some sort. The magnets on them pretty solidly clack into the bottom and the switches seem to too. It doesn't sound bad. It's just different than some others. I actually like it. I had to really inspect them to see if they were somehow a HE clicky switch. I have going on 15 keyboards and I'm happy to include this in the collection. Read the manual. This is compatible with Gateron Jade Pros and other Gateron HE switches and a few others. That's a good thing; it's the whole point of enthusiast and hot-swap keyboards. The keycaps it comes with are pretty awesome. As I type it reminds me of ice cubes. They look and sound like ice cubes. And they are completely translucent so the color shines through and the solid legend makes the keycaps essentially shine-through keycaps. Out of the box the actual 1-0 didn't work as numbers lol. I think it was on Fn mode. You need to hit Fn and Shift and it will flash white and switch what those keys do by default. That's why I said just look at the manual for the keyboard's functions as with all keyboards. The web app from Attack Shark the bootleg QMK they use does work. Which is good. They need to make this work on anything they sell. You don't need to download anything or run anything at all. Just go to the site using Chrome. I also think for the price they should include the nice coiled RGB cable that they include in other keyboards. Considering it literally matches this white one more than any other keyboard they ship it with. They claim some aluminum or whatever on the accents but yeah idk. Don't care that much. It feels fine for a sub-$100 dollar keyboard. I think all around with the clear caps and the web driver and the interesting "break the ice" vibe and sound from it I think it's a good board and a reasonable price. I wouldn't suggest it if you want something that isn't loud and potentially annoying to others. This also isn't what I consider a 68% at least not a true 68. True 68s aren't great. This does not have a dedicated F row like a 75%. But it also does have a Delete, Pg Up, Pg Dn, and a gap between the arrow keys like a TKL. I actually find this to be a really reasonable layout. I think it's better than a 68 and better than 75. Maybe even better than a TKL since it's still a little more compact but has everything you need for normal typing and use. I find this Attack Shark stuff I have tried to be very reasonable and pretty high quality. I don't really know why they get a weird rap sometimes online. Probably a gatekeeping psyop.
