Couldn't go to local auto parts stores because no light on the dash. Brother hooked it up and was given the code. Now I can repair

Works like a charm! I feel like a mechanic! So easy to use, it's just plug and play. It literally told me the same thing a repair shop did. That makes me feel pretty confident in its abilities! It's awesome that it actually tells you the problem instead of just giving you a code like many readers do.  Note that it's powered by your vehicle. No batteries or charging to worry about, it turns on once you plug it into your vehicles OBD2 port that's usually found under the driver's side dashboard.  It worked to clear my check engine light, but not the gas cap light. Upon further research, that's not something that can be cleared until actually fixing the issue. When I plug it back in, it still shows me the code for the engine issue, which is great. That way I can't clear the light, forget what the issue is, and be out of luck. When I buy my next vehicle, I'm definitely going to bring this with to plug in. Having this on hand gives me a huge sense of relief.  No more stressing the instant a light comes on! Whew!  p.s. please excuse my dusty dash
