Women's Thick Duck Canvas Straight Leg Pant-Runs Small-High Rise

I am thrilled with these painters pants for painting and carpentry. They fit me so much better than men's painter's pants because they are more generous around the waist. I like that they are thicker than usual. I would not recommend them as a regular clothing item, because the fabric is a big "crude" (yet it is soft). I purchased one size up, the size 14, and I am 5'5" and 160 lbs. I washed them and hung them up to air dry, then ironed them quickly . So this is what they look like out of the drawer before first wearing. They will stretch a bit while being worn. (I know because I bought another pair I have worked in.) I don't know how much they might shrink if you put them in a dryer to dry. Besides the two pockets in front and two patch pockets in the back, there is one slim pocket down the left leg (although the photo makes it appear to be the right leg, Also, the photos appear to put on another 50 lbs on me!). The slim pocket is for long, slim tools like a screwdriver. I do miss the usual loop for a hammer, because I use it to hang a rag; so instead I attached a carabiner clip a belt loop for my rag, which worked out. These are super nice pants to work in. I always wear a belt with painter's pants, but I didn't here for the photos.
