These Avia Girls Athletic Mary Jane Sneakers have been a really great find. I got them for my daughter and they've quickly become her everyday shoes. She was instantly into the shiny silver color and even started calling them her 'fast princess shoes", which says a lot since she's usually picky about footwear. The Mary Jane style micrd with a sneaker design works well. It looks cute, but still feels sporty and practical for everyday wear. From a comfort and support standpoint, they've been solid. The cushioning in the sole gives her enough support for running, jumping, and long days at school and the playground without her complaining about sore feet. They also seem to hold her feet securely without feeling stiff or heavy. Functionality-wise, the hook-and-loop strap makes things so much easier. She can put them in and take them off herself, which is a big help during busy mornings. The sizing felt true for us with a comfortable fit right out of the box, with no breaking in needed. I also like the grip on the bottom. The outsole has good traction, so she's not slipping around on playground equipment or indoor floors. On top of that, they've held up well so far with daily wear and still look good. Overall, they're comfortable, supportive, easy for kids to manage on their own, and cute enough that she actually wants to wear them every day.
