This is a beautiful table. It is exactly as described and pictured. The side that moves up and down does so easily. Looks great with both sides down. Love the space underneath to decorate, put baskets, or leave plain. The directions were good, but you have to pay very close attention to the orientation of the pieces. There's no slapping this together. Took a couple of hours to put together, but part of that was not paying close enough attention to where the holes should go. You'll shave off time if you don't make our mistake. It was definitely worth the time to put together. It's a nice heavy piece of furniture, and cool with rising top , especially for the money. I would recommend it to friends and family.

When I saw this lift-top coffee table, I knew I had to have it. It's perfect for my needs. The lift top reaches a comfortable height for checking my laptop for emails. enjoying coffee with some cookies, or eating a snack. This table replaced my huge, heavy coffee table because it can hold everything my two-tier table held and more. The farmhouse look is perfect since I live in a 100 year old farmhouse. What I like best is that the table top lifts silently with a sturdy mechanism, and closes up completely when not in use, making it a full-size coffee table. Looks beautiful when completely flat, and is so versatile, either flat or raised. The instructions were drawings and relatively easy to follow. All hardware included. I'm very pleased with it.
