Typhoon jacket looks like a typical hoodie - comfy, cozy, non bulky. However, the neoprene fabric is insulating and waterproof like scuba wet suit. Originally, designed for fishing, but I use it for other cold weather outings (e.g. snow trail, seaside boardwalk, winter rainstorm). Note: it is heavier than it looks and neoprene has a rubbery smell - like a scuba wet suit.
