Mat was very thick and well made. Perfect for core and floor workouts where cushioning is needed. A yoga mat is too small and too thin. I bought the 6 x 8 which is quite large but it "folds" into thirds and easily fits in our closet. Can also go under a bed or behind a dresser, chest of drawers, wherever you can slide it.
