It works great for the extra things I needed to hang up but the metal bars are aluminum. If you have to hang anything heavy like coats... I would probably hang the somewhere else cause it may not me sturdy enough for all the weight. I like the way it covers up what is in the closed. I like the cool shelves on the bottom. Its great storage.
