OMG! After trying about three other mugs, I have finally found a mug that checks most boxes. I have not tried it in a cup holder, because I am retired and don't really need a travel mug. Due to the design I'm not sure that it will fit well. However, it is a well designed mug with nice design touches. It definitely keeps your coffee hot. (I haven't tried a cold drink yet.) It is very stable and the handle is very comfortable. I tend to drink my coffee slowly but still want it hot so for me it works very well. The top twists off and tightens really well. Not to difficult but requires a little muscle to know it's tight. (If you're having trouble, open/close the latch. The opposite of current position). I love that It's a very easy one hand open and shut. And my absolute favorite .. both the mug %26 lid are dishwasher safe. Who could ask for more? Well, just a few nitpicky things to share. I noticed the lid is a bit awkwad to clean, but found my large bottle brush worked great %26 easily cleaned all surfaces. Plus they sell all kinds of fancy brushes now to get into crevices %26 it can go into the dishwasher. For me it's not the best mouth shape and hole could be bigger, but definitely NOT a big deal. The shape of the mug is short and wide which makes it very stable. Larger than a typical home coffee mug. I would prefer it to be a bit taller %26 thinner. I still believe it's the best stainless steel 'coffee mug style' mug on the market %26 would DEFINITELY recommend it for home use. (Could possibly travel, but I'm guessing it will be a balancing act. lol)
