The add says the dress is casual. I don't think it's casual at all. I am actually going to wear it to a beach wedding. The material is like a lacy, stretchy fabric. It has diagonal ruffles down the front. It is lined. The hem on the lining was a bit cheap looking, but nobody sees that anyway. I am 5'4". It's a bit long, but not that much. All-in-all, I am very pleased. I would definitely recommend.
