This mortar & pestle is an ideal size for general grinding with a deep bowl to keep things from popping out and a rough enough interior surface to accomplish the chore with minimal effort. The outer surface has a nice polish to it and could be kept on display if you choose.

This is a heavy mortar and pestle set. The 2 pieces fit together to create a larger grinding area than the traditional design. It works great for pulverizing hard spices, seeds, and reducing large crystalline sugar substitutes ( like erythritol ) to powder.
