The delivery of this rug was very quick. But the rug was folded and shipped in a bag inside of a box instead of rolled up. The problem with that, of course, is that it puckers up where the folds were (see pic2) and does not lay flat on the floor. I can see someone tripping on that. Eventually it will go down, but until then.... The carpet looks just like it does in the description of the product. The colors are printed on this 'jute' carpet and are just as beautiful and colorful in person. I had to look up what Jute meant as I had never heard that before. It is basically a burlap sack or the backing on the wall-to-wall carpet you would purchase for your home. It is very stiff and scratchy and more appropriate for outside use or heavy traffic areas. It looks to be very durable and I may just end up putting it out on my patio, which is what it is most likely for. The description says that it is washable and shows a picture of someone throwing the rug into a washer. I don't see how that is possible unless you get a very small rug. Because of the hard texture of the jute fabric, I do not see how this could be folded and stuffed into the washer. It is just too hard and stiff. I can see, though, where it could handle spills by just sponging the area down. Or you could even sweep it with a broom. So if you want a durable carpet for any reason, this might be for you. If you want a cozy, soft carpet for the new baby to crawl on, or to put your feet on when you get up first thing in the morning, this is not it.
