A long time ago, I bought a Wagner paint sprayer. It had the same type of funnel this uses to test paint viscosity, and basically functioned similarly to this sprayer as far as paint spraying went. And it remains as one of my worst purchases. It was finicky about the viscosity, liking neither too thick or too thin, and it regularly didn't start spraying when it should, requiring you to open the spray nozzle and clean it all out before you could start again. And when it finally DID spray paint, it made such a loud buzzing noise that I would stop several times just to give my ears a break. And it would "spit" paint occasionally, messing up a smooth finish you may have achieved.
