My Minecraft obsessed son was over the moon to build an underwater set including Steve in his enchanted armor! There is a variety of characters and places that allow for a ton of creativity and makes the set an amazing value! It was pretty light weight in the box and shipped quickly and safely. The instructions were easy enough to follow but did provide some challenge, one of the larger fish specifically that has an interactive component was both the trickiest & his favorite :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I love the details and the build quality of this mid-sized Lego set. This was the first Minecraft set I've done with my 7-year-old. We have a tradition of buying and building Lego sets together, and she said this is one of her favorites we've ever built. Her top reasons for being delighted with this set: The square heads and square t-shirts are a fun Minecraft spin on normal minifigs. She loved the square purple helmet in particular. The Guardian has really impressive shooting capabilities. It comes with two missiles and they shoot 10+ feet using a cool tail fin motion. I think they underplay this on the box so we weren't expecting it to have such great playability, but a week later she's still shooting missiles at all our other sets (sorry Lunar Lander crew). The pieces all come printed, so no stickers at all. The number of printed pieces and the level of detail is pretty cool, including some small eyes printing on the dolphin. I also found the build a good level for her. She's been building Lego since age 4, so sometimes 8+ sets can be a bit easy but this one had both detail-oriented and delightful pieces despite being a smaller set. Overall a lot of fun and a great add to our collection!
