That's no pancake, it's a space station.

I've only just started this build and I can tell you it's no pancake. It has depth and is vastly enjoyable to build. Congratulations to Lego and their designers. I know it's expensive but this is the Star Wars brand and this set will sustain its value if looked after, especially when no longer available. I wish the Tie-Fighter had been a permanent fixture but I managed to get a set elsewhere. Really looking forward to seeing the build progress. I was very happily surprised to see how accommodating the base is in terms of display.

Large display or play set for everyone

I enjoyed building this set. It was never tedious or repetitive. There were similar experiences while placing the flooring down in some sections, but was drown out by the fact that every piece i lay down was a step closer to finishing my build of this magnificent UCS set. The set was very sturdy and looks great in any room (I dont care what my wife says!!!). I loved the wide variety of minifigures, however putting more detail into some of the officers and giving dual molded legs would have been the perfect compliment, to only the hot tub time machine storm trooper being the only one with dual molded legs. I love the set and would reccomend to anyone whos on the fence about buying it!!

Better than a big grey ball... =)

I don't know why so many people are hating on this set, just because it's not what they wanted it to look like or the fact that it has stickers... seriously people need to grow up. The set looks great and has a lot more going for it then what most haters wanted, which was basically a big boring grey ball...lol As for the stickers they have always been a part of Lego so if you don't like it get another hobby. =) Lastly are the mini figs, there are plenty for you to play around with and each compartment can have multiple figs doing different things so you can come up with your own ideas. Personally I like this set, it has a lot going for it and overall it was a fun build.
