My daughter is currently between a size extra small and small in her tops. I purchased the small because it was marked 5-6. I should have sized up to the small. While the shirt was not tight it was definitely on the more fitted side. The length of the shirt is also on the shorter side. I would say this fits more like a 4-5. The material itself is nice and lightweight. I did like that there was not a big gap under the armpit so you couldn’t see inside the shirt
