The training wheels are very sturdy and keep the rider upright pretty consistently. The cup (or water bottle) holder is pretty standard for kids bikes but the way it is attached leaves much to be desired.... it makes it basically the only thing that you can put on the bike! I'd like it better if it was in a different place that left room for a basket to be attached as well. The way it comes makes it seem like it's only one or the other but I think it would be very easy to redesign the attachment to the frame and include a space for BOTH!
